Sierra Wireless Aircard 306 Installation on Windows 7.

This time, I want to share how to install Sierra Wireless Aircard 306 on Windows 7.

Step One, you need to donwload 3G Watcher and firmware update:
1. Go to www.sierrawireless.com
2. Navigate to support + downloads, then click downloads
3. In the box select by product, click your product
4. Wait a second, a window will come out, select Others Global
5. After that, there's a list of the entire donwload destined for your modem
6. Save M2_0_11_16bt-M2_0_11_21ap.exe and 3G_Watcher_Generic_2523.msi to your computer.


Step Two, update your modem firmware
1. Install 3G Watcher on your computer, don't plug your modem.
2. After installation finish, run 3G Watcher and plugin your modem on usb port.
3. Make sure the modem in a state of ON, but not connected to the provider
4. Disable/avoid installation Bigpond software which include on your modem.
5. Open firmware which already downloaded.
6. Just wait the process, if completed, then click the OK button.
4. The process lasted for approximately 15 minutes, don't remove modem or avoid loss power or pc hang, your modem will be unusable if that happened.


Step Three, setting 3G Watcher
1. Open Tools - Option - Profiles
2. Select a Profile you want to use.
3. Go to Advanced Menu
4. In the TCP / IP Settings, change become CHAP authentication,
5. Change WINS became YES
6. Click Apply
7. Go to DNS Settings
8. Primary and Secondary on the contents of 0.0.0.0
9. Click Apply then OK
10. Close the Sierra Watcher, Unplug modem and Restart Computer
11. Plug the modem again.
12. Connect Try again ...
